This is a 1 – day course focusing on conceal carry and surviving the initial moments of a deadly attack. No tactical rigs or swag, just you, your everyday apparel, and your conceal carry gun and holster.
Unlike our other classes, the first part of this class begins in the classroom. Students will watch, critique and learn from video footage of actual deadly force encounters, then apply what they learn on the range. Students are taught to draw from a concealed holstered position, shoot from the retention and low ready positions, and engage targets without using their guns sights, while moving too and away from the threat. One-hand and off-hand shooting techniques are demonstrated and utilized. All courses are fired between 3 and 10 yards. This is demanding course for the experienced shooter. Students must have completed RFI’s DYP I or Tactical Handgun I, or show proof of completion from another school.
