Tactical Handgun II

Course Description: Advanced course for those wanting to learn practical applications to winning a gun fight in low-light conditions. Students are taught to shoot from several alternative shooting platforms (Urban Prone, Prone, and on their back), engage multiple moving threats, single hand retention shooting, single hand reloads and malfunctions, and more; with a strong emphasis in target identification and proven flashlight techniques. All courses are fired between 3 and 10 yards with a majority in low-light conditions. This is demanding course for the experienced shooter who wants to ensure he puts the assailant on the defensive and win, even when there is no light.

This is an 8 hour course incorporating both on-range demonstration and 8 hours of practical application.

Course Requirements: 400 rounds of ammunition, personal firearm, concealed holster, minimum of three magazines, working flashlight, and eye and ear protection.

Course Prerequisites: Possess a valid Michigan or out-of-state CPL permit or have a strong basis in firearm fundamentals.

Students Will Learn: Alternative shooting platforms, multiple movement techniques (laterally, forward, and back), how to counter reloading (combat and tactical) and malfunctions drills with one hand, shooting from the retention position, shooting from the low ready, point-shooting, and multiple target engagements; while incorporating proven flashlight techniques.
